Stockli Laser AX Skis with DXM 13 Bindings

Season:2020

Brand:STOCKLI

Code:41050320-

Enjoy fresh powder in the morning. Rip tight turns on the slope in the afternoon. The re-engineered AX with its new FEC adaptive technology makes it all possible. The more pressure you apply in the turns, the smaller the rocker is, and the correspondingly larger the surface contact area is with the snow. The new Light Core lends the AX even more pop with the same stability.

Who is it for?
Advanced intermediates and up who like the feel of a narrower ski for all-mountain conditions including carving into a few inches of fresh snow.

Community opinions - pugski.com
"Laser AX versions I liked just as well, mounted on the line, for demo. If anything, these seemed quicker and lighter than the ones I own, with no loss of ability. What a ski all round. More and more, for me i'm hooked."

"Hard to imagine an easier going ski with a lot of punch when you need it"

"The AX is a very friendly ski and an intermediate with a good skill set foundation can ski it well without hindering their progression."

Rocker
The longer curvature of the shovel, called rocker technology, is specially adapted for each ski model. This provides better float in powder, less effort, easier to turn on piste, and easier edge control.

Sandwich Sidewall Technology
The ski is built up layer-by-layer, with each layer glued together under pressure - a well-proven manufacturing process in ski construction.
Thid provides optimum energy transfer, optimum precision, and a heavy-duty construction.

Solid Metal Edge
Stockli has started incorporating wider edges in all of its ski models. This not only extends the lifetime of the ski, but it also pays dividends for ski rental services, where the material is subject to particularly harsh use. In addition, the exceptionally robust materials and a clever design protect the ski surface against scratches and damage.

Full Edge Contact
The ski is wider at the tip providing easier and faster turn initiation, and enhanced grip in the turn due to the longer edge contact.

Turtle Grip
Slightly nubby texture creates a matte/shiny surface that imparts an elegant look to the design. The top graphics layer is also rugged.

Adaptive Contact Length
When you combine the FEC and "Tip and Tail" Rocker technology, you get ACL.
The benefit is a greater edge angle which means more of the esge is in contact with the snow, and that results in more grip and stability in turns. The playful feel remains without needing to forgo stability.

Turtle Shell Comfort
The notches in the upper Titanal layer enable simple handling during leisurely skiing. As soon as there is any impact, the Titanal plates interlockto give the ski needed stability. This makes the ski torsionally neutral and smooth at slower speeds, but also very athletic and stable at higher speeds and when under great stress.

If you would like your skis set up and waxed, please send an e-mail sales@theski-shop.co.uk after placing your order with the following information below.
Please include your name and order number. Otherwise, skis will be sent out and will require waxing and setting up at your own convenience.

Skis with bindings drilled on will be classed as used and non-returnable unless faulty.

Information & details required from you for ski setup:

  1. Skier's Age.
  2. Skiers Height.
  3. Skiers Weight.
  4. Boot brand/make & sole length in millimeters. Usually found embossed on side of heels. eg 315mm
  5. Skier classification: Please pick one: Type -1, Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 3+

Type -1
Skiers looking for a lower release setting than type 1. Recommended for beginners over 25 years old.

Type 1
Ski conservatively. Prefer slower speeds. Ski on easy to moderate slopes. Intermediate level, but not in good physical fitness. Good skiers, but with smooth supple style, but emphasizing safety. Favour lower than average release/retention settings – This corresponds to increased risk of inadvertent binding release in order to gain increased release capacity in a fall.

Type 2
Intermediate skiers in good physical condition. Prefer a variety of speeds. Ski on varied terrain, including most difficult trails. All skiers who do not meet all the descriptions of the other types.

Type 3
Ski aggressively. Normally ski at high speeds. Prefer moderate to steep terrain. Favour higher than average release/retention settings. This corresponds to decreased capability to release in a fall in order to decrease the risk of inadvertent binding release. (Type 3 should not be used by skiers of less than 22kg)

Type 3+
Very strong skiers, on challenging terrain. Skiers looking for higher release settings than type 3. N.B Skier type does not have the same meaning as skier ability. I.E, an advanced skier who skis all-terrain but is not particularly aggressive may be able to use type 2 settings.

Using the boot sole length you give, we set the binding to that length, but the final adjustments and checks can only be made with the actual boot. Heel and toe units on ALL boots have to conform to a certain size and shape. However, sometimes boots especially older models or well-worn ones, may vary in length compared to another stating the same measurements hence it is important that you do have them professionally double-checked. We recommend that you have your skis double-checked by your local or resort ski shop with your actual boot.
