QST LUX 92 Womens Skis with Warden 11 Bindings in Turquoise

Season:2018

Brand:SALOMON

Code:391445

The QST LUX 92 ski is the womens version of the QST 92, if you wanted a Mr & Mrs Skis! The lux 92 blends terrain adaptation, energy, and a smooth ride. Built on a Spaceframe construction with full Woodcore, it balances on-piste power and soft snow floatation. And the C/FX layer ensures a smooth ride.
All-mountain performance with the inspiration to explore new terrain. Soft and hard snow performance

Powerful, snappy and versatile this ski will give you room for improvement; We would recommend this ski for strong sporty intermediates and upwards. Get ready to tame the beast and drop in powder-filled steeps at Mach 2 with the Lux 92.

This new 2018 Salomon QST range is really surprising. If the fat skis are amazing in powder, this QST Lux 92 is a supercharged all-mountain ski ready to tackle the slopes and get out of the beaten path with its 92mm waist and its tip rocker to go and play on every terrains.

We have here the stiffest and most powerful ski of the new Backside all-mountain ski serie. The QST Lux 92 allows to slay big lines on slopes and offers a perfect edge hold at high speed. With its classical camber, the effective edge is long enough to push the limits of the ski on any snow conditions. It was a true challenge for Salomon to come up with this QST LUX 92 as playful as powerful in fresh powder.

Its waist is only 92mm wide but its tapered shape and its tip rocker allow it to float in deep naturally. How can you not appreciate the light koroyd tip which absorb terrain asperities to deliver a great comfort on crud and crusty snow.

The QST LUX 92 is the perfect ski to enjoy big powder days and lay trenches on every virgin faces of the mountain.

TOTAL EDGE REINFORCEMENT
Fiber reinforcement directly on top of edges improves durability, edge grip, and shock and resistance.

PULSE PAD
A layer of rubber all along the edges and in critical zones of the ski for smoother ride & improved ski-snow contact.

SEMI TWIN TAIL
Slight rise to the tail of the ski.

CARVE ZONE
The traditionally cambered section of twin rocker skis, where the sidecut is focused for more power, energy and edge grip.

HOOK FREE TAPER
5 Point sidecut, Tip & Tail taper at extremities. The widest point in the sidecut tapers in toward the tip earlier for less drag and hooking in powder. Swing weight is also reduced making the ski even more maneuverable in difficult snow.

ALL-TERRAIN ROCKER 2.0
With a slight tip and tail rise, All Terrain Rocker 2.0 adds an extra dimension of versatility and control for all mountain skiing. Camber in the middle of the ski and full length contact guarentees strong edge grip, stability and power for hard snow and piste skiing. In addition to the excellent terrain absorption and intuitive turn initiation, the slight twin rocker also allows the ski to pivot much easier when ski is flat, increasing control and maneuverability in all condition.

CFX SUPERFIBER
Unique prepreg fiber layer consisting of Carbon and Flax woven together, running the full length of the ski. Combines the incredible strength and minimal weight of carbon fiber for stability and reinforcement, with an increased level of dampening and vibration absorption above & beyond anything found on traditonal carbon and light ski constructions. Patented and exclusive to Salomon.

KOROYD TIP
More Float, Less FLop. Super light honeycomb/Koroyd Tip insert, reinforced with ABS. Less weight at the extremties with increased dampening from Koroyd dramatically increases maneuverability and ease of steering on rockered skis.

POWER TRANSFER PLATFORM
Elastimer pads within the construction of the ski at the ends of the X-Chassis increase smoothness of power transfer to edges for a more progressive feel, while also filtering vibrations.

SPACEFRAME 3.0 AMB
Spaceframe is made out of an Inverted 3D Woodcore inserted with Carbon Flax & Power Transfer Platform.

FULL SANDWICH SIDEWALLS 360°
Full sandwich, ABS sidewall construction, extending around the entire sidewall.

Please include your name and order number. Otherwise, skis will be sent out and will require waxing and setting up at your own convenience.

Skis with bindings drilled on will be classed as used and non-returnable unless faulty.

Information & details required from you for ski setup:

  1. Skier's Age.
  2. Skiers Height.
  3. Skiers Weight.
  4. Boot brand/make & sole length in millimeters. Usually found embossed on side of heels. eg 315mm
  5. Skier classification: Please pick one: Type -1, Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 3+

Type -1
Skiers looking for a lower release setting than type 1. Recommended for beginners over 25 years old.

Type 1
Ski conservatively. Prefer slower speeds. Ski on easy to moderate slopes. Intermediate level, but not in good physical fitness. Good skiers, but with smooth supple style, but emphasizing safety. Favour lower than average release/retention settings – This corresponds to increased risk of inadvertent binding release in order to gain increased release capacity in a fall.

Type 2
Intermediate skiers in good physical condition. Prefer a variety of speeds. Ski on varied terrain, including most difficult trails. All skiers who do not meet all the descriptions of the other types.

Type 3
Ski aggressively. Normally ski at high speeds. Prefer moderate to steep terrain. Favour higher than average release/retention settings. This corresponds to decreased capability to release in a fall in order to decrease the risk of inadvertent binding release. (Type 3 should not be used by skiers of less than 22kg)

Type 3+
Very strong skiers, on challenging terrain. Skiers looking for higher release settings than type 3. N.B Skier type does not have the same meaning as skier ability. I.E, an advanced skier who skis all-terrain but is not particularly aggressive may be able to use type 2 settings.

Using the boot sole length you give, we set the binding to that length, but the final adjustments and checks can only be made with the actual boot. Heel and toe units on ALL boots have to conform to a certain size and shape. However, sometimes boots especially older models or well-worn ones, may vary in length compared to another stating the same measurements hence it is important that you do have them professionally double-checked. We recommend that you have your skis double-checked by your local or resort ski shop with your actual boot.
